Welcome to San Diego Watersheds Wiki
Watersheds are important ecosystems – all water that falls on land eventually makes it way to a creek or river and eventually to our coast. Watersheds are thus the linkage between land and sea. If we are to know how healthy our watersheds are and how best to protect or restore them, we need information! We need data! That is why San Diego Coastkeeper started the Water Quality Monitoring Program. Each month, Coastkeeper’s trained volunteers collect water samples from around the County and analyze them in our lab.
